Percy Jackson and the Olympians follows the story of Percy, a child who discovers that he is a demigod (a child with one human parent and one Greek god parent). In the first book of the series, The Lightning Thief, Percy learns of his unique parentage and gets sent to Camp Half-Blood, a special training ground for other young demigods.
