How to Turn Off Autocorrect

Though the autocorrect feature can often be helpful with correcting misspelled words, sometimes the feature can be problematic when a user’s vocabulary- and word-choice extends far beyond the dictionary built into any particular operating system. Autocorrect can be disabled on any device through system settings.

Steps

Turning Off Autocorrect in iOS

Tips

• Disable the autocorrect feature if you frequently use slang and abbreviations when typing content. In most cases, the built-in dictionary on your device will fail to recognize slang and abbreviations and convert them to other non-relevant words.
